Hmmmm. A novel in 3 parts each with a distinct narrator. This is a story centered on students at a Texas performing arts school, where the theatre (not theater!) teacher has the kids perform trust exercises. The first part of the book is told from the perspective of Sarah, a student at the school...very overwrought and full of drama...
Explores how a story is different from different people's points of view. The book was meta, which I found interesting...however several things about it irked me just enough to make me rate it a 3 instead of a 4.

i started out super bored but i have to give it 5 stars for its sharp view of human behavior. it uses acting and theater and writing as a way to examine human actions and it's sooo good.

Moments of beauty and greatness but too much blurriness. Too many forced encounters and too much, intentional or not, confusion. It tried my patience in a way few books have.

As a theater kid in the 80s the insistence on the word theatre should have been all I needed to see...
