This has definitely been my favorite of the series so far, mostly because of the neixin.

Not my fav of Nghi Vo's series, but very sweet and whimsical nonetheless. The plot felt a bit meandering and the stories felt like the could have been more interesting/meaningful? But it still gave a similar cozy feeling of the previous novels. And lots of good worldbuilding with how the Singing Hills functions as well as the history of the neixin.

This one was a sweet story about returning home, how home means something different as we grow and things change, and grief. Really lovely.
