First off, I do have to say that I did struggle a little bit in the beginning with finding an emotional attachment to Ronan and Annika. Yet, after a few chapters, this was no longer an issue. In fact, I could not get enough of these two. Annika told Ronan to step up and he sure did deliver!

I am booking my next trip to an island with a sexy man. So that I can be locked in paradise and not want to leave the bedroom. When Ronan would growl, I could hear his voice in my head. These two really brought the heat. Yet, they were not the only couple. There is Finn and Hanna, who I instantly hit it off with. They made a good couple as well. Looking forward to reading Vincent's story next. Dangerous Strokes is only "dangerous", if you miss out on this book. It is not to be missed!

Well, I have to say this has been an intriguingly different book that has me hooked from the first page. Ronan and Annika have a little cat and mouse game their playing and it has been so fascinating to watch. Lilith hooks you with her words and you can't help but keep turning the page. Writing flowed so nicely and these characters draw you in. Like you sit forward in your seat a little more in the hopes to know more about them.
Ronan and the guys in his circle are dark and mysterious, they're dangerous but Ronan has a different side with Annika.
Annika and her friend get themselves into a little trouble with what they do for a living so Ronan, his brother and the rest of the guys are doing what they can to keep them safe. There's plenty of action and things feel like they're moving fast, you're kept on the edge of your seat and the emotions from here is palpable. There's pain and outrage, anger and heartbreak and all Ronan wants to do is fix it but he doesn't know how. It's like you can feel everything.
I really enjoyed how this story ended and how we got to see a little more of how the characters acted in the aftermath of certain things. It gave us insight a little more into each one. It actually didn’t end the way I expected and I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt about it, not in a bad way of course, it was just different.
This was my first Lilith Roman novel and it was very well done! Thank you

I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Holy shit. I think this is the best book I have read this year. There was romance and tension and action and everything I could ever ask for. Every second of this book was perfect.

I absolutely loved Ronan and Annika. The tension between them and the games they play are amazing. It doesn’t feel gross or manipulative. It’s sexy as hell. Annika is smart and cunning while also being so caring and sweet. She compliments Ronans alpha male personality without being overwhelmed by him. They are 100% couple goals.

The action is awesome. It’s not overdone or cheesy. It feels like a really well made action movie.

I am going to reread this book at least 10 more times so I can keep hanging out with my favorite characters.

Get this book. You will not regret it.

I forgot how much I love Lilith's writing. It's so beautiful and easy to get lost in. It's almost poetic with such a gorgeous rhythm to it allowing you to understand and empathise with her characters.

Annika and Ronan's love story is fast and dramatic and so very sexy. There were moments that had me panting and others that had me ugly crying. I'm talking shoulders going, sobbing (iykyk). This book is beautiful and heartbreaking and written with such care and maturity.

Dangerous Strokes has a particular trope that I don't love (I won't mention it but it is in the TW at the beginning) but here it's pertinent to the story, it's significant, it's relevant and, for this, I actually found myself not minding it. It's when it's written into books without any real purpose that I find myself disengaging but here, it has purpose and it's done well.

Now a trope I DO love is found family and I'm chomping at the bit to learn more about the rest of these men. Carter is especially intriguing - it's going to take a special species of person to melt that man. I'm also so excited to see what Lilith has done with Vincent and Morrigan's story since it was the OG Reckless Covenant that first introduced me to her books. Morrigan holds a dear place in my heart and I'm really looking forward to revisting her and The Serpent.

Check your triggers!!!! This book is pitch black and extremely hard to get through at about the halfway point.

Beyond that though, this book was extremely well written. Great plot, great story, and super spicy 🌶️.

Guy falls first. Girl plays game. Guy chases. She runs. He catches. They fall hard.

I love the surprise primal scenes, that was the highlight of the book for sure, my favorite aspect of romance novels i think.

I do wish we found out the fate of a certain someone, and it ended different knowing that. But otherwise, highly recommend. But again, check your triggers, the middle of this book made me nauseous, and I don’t have triggers that I bother to read warnings about….
