Icl this was a re read. I read this once before this yr, but I feel like i skimmed over it without rly understanding anything. On the second read, I absouletly loved this. Theres so many sayings and teachings you can go back to. Its so cute, so sad and just aaaa. Brought back my want to read again. I love the narration and the imagination that was put into this. Def an all time classic😭

I honestly don't understand the deeper meaning of this book. And I think I read the wrong version cause mince only had 56 pages and I see on the internet lots of bits that I couldn't find in my book.

"This is my secret. It's very simple. You only see clearly with your heart. The most important things are invisible to the eyes."

a delightful, classic read! i easily teared through the pages and felt a warm feeling of content when i finished.

buttt what's a review if i'm not being completely honest? the writing and the story was pleasing, but i was not infatuated. while i did find this a cozy read, i can't bring myself to rate this a 4. i like and admire this book, but i'm not quite fond of it, and unfortunately, it isn't that important to me and has little-to-no-space in my heart (ouch sorry).

regardless, i did enjoy myself and this is certainly a re-read. i do think the little prince is worthy of its high remarks and praise!! it's just not for me to love :(

also, my favourite lines that just hit too close to home:

‘You are beautiful, but you are hollow,’ he went on. ‘No one would give up their life for you. Of course an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looks just like you. But she’s more important than all of you – because I watered her, I sheltered her under a glass dome, and I protected her with a mesh. It was for her that I killed the caterpillars (except the two or three so she could see the butterflies). I have listened to her complaining, grumbling, boasting and even to her silence. Because she is my rose.’
