This book was absolute perfection starting from the very first sentence/paragraph!

Annie and Will are to die for. I love a good coupling that brings out the best in one another. They listen and validate each other. Of course, they have their own problems, but they are so loveable.

Tropes featured:
-dating coach/fake dating
-grumpy/sunshine
-sick care
-lots of good kisses

I loved this book so much (I just cannot stop saying that!). As someone who sometimes feels like Annie, I love how she grows in this book and really comes into herself. Same goes for Will.

Spice Rating: 🌶️

I flew through this adorable insta-love romance! The banter, the dating "lessons," and the chemistry were off the charts. I also appreciated that I was able to read this book without having read the first of the romance series.

Annie is a sweet girl from the small town of Rome, Kentucky who owns a flower shop and is looking to get married and start a family. Everyone knows her as "Angel Annie;" her sisters and the whole town only see her as this perfect version of herself. Will is a bodyguard for a famous singer, Amelia, who is about to marry Annie's brother, Noah (their love story is the first book of the series, When in Rome); he is seen as a mysterious bad boy who is known for his tattoos and lack of committed relationships. Annie and Will are an unlikely pair, but when Amelia enlists Will's help to teach Annie the art of dating, there are instant sparks that neither Will nor Annie trust. They both have their reasons to be nervous and fear committing to one another, but the more time they spend together, the more they realize resistance is futile.

I loved the romance in this book along with the character growth. Both Annie and Will have traumatic pasts that have shaped their personalities and others' views of them, but, together, they are able to escape these boxes and truly shine as individuals and as a couple.

I loved the romance in this book, as well as the general relationships (siblings, friends, etc). The characters had great depth, and the dialogue between them didn’t feel cringey.
If you’re in the mood for a sweet, small town, bad boy(well man)/ good girl (woman) story, then you will eat this up babe.

This book is seriously the best book i’ve ever read.  Note this book doesn’t have any smut if that’s what you’re looking for but it does get a little steamy. Annie and Will are seriously the cutest. It def shows the struggles of being scared to love and not knowing if you can be loved. Loved this book with everything in me, i’m gonna miss this journey!!

Enjoyed this one just as much as the first book - maybe a little more. Grumpy/sunshine mixed with a fake relationship. Good character development. I selfishly hope there’s more books to finish out the other sisters stories.
