I did NOT know I would love this book as much as I have and can't understand the bad reviews it's been getting. it's so much more than a romance, you truly know they have been in love since the beginning and are merely trying to express their fellings and learning how to love other people. There is so much character growth and I found their traumas to be very relatable. Also loved the way their relationship with their siblings is portrait and changing through out the book. There was just something missing about the way the small town is described, I could not picture it just right but I guess that is done in the first book Wich I did not read yet. I'm really hoping there will be more books about the two sisters who are left because I feel like there was a lot of things left opened for them.

This one gets bumped from “borrow” to “bring” (/buy) because this cover is just too stinkin' cute and I’m fine with that

✨ 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 ✨ B̷O̷R̷R̷O̷W̷ B̷Y̷P̷A̷S̷S̷

Look if they didn’t want us to judge books by their covers then WHY HAVE SUCH CUTE COVERS
But anyways - I liked this one a lot (the banter was *chef’s kiss*), but there was a little tiny something missing that moved it down from a 5 star read to a 4. I thought that Adams did a really good job giving both Annie and Will a lot of backstory and making their relationship seem really plausible, and I absolutely loved the communication. Loved it.

Also worth noting that I’ve seen this author recommended as a closed door author, and while that is still true here, it veers a little towards slightly open door? I’m not sure exactly how to describe it, but it’s not a full fade to black - didn’t bother me, but worth noting if you’re going into it not expecting that.

ANYWHO. Still love Rome, Kentucky, still love these wacky neighbors, still love the Walker family and will definitely be continuing with the series!

“This one is for the softies. The tenderhearted sweeties. The introverts who are afraid to shine.”

Oh my goodness. I think this just overtook The Cheat Sheet as my favorite Sarah Adams, and definitely became one of my all time favorites. I loved and related so much to Annie. The dynamic between her and Will was perfect and the overall story was unique. I think I mostly loved how honest they were with each other. They thought they wanted different things and had some personal issues to work through but communicated those openly and honestly to each other.

I loved being back in Rome with its Stars Hollow vibes. It also reminded me of A Walk to Remember (without the [spoiler alert] dying). I simultaneously laughed and cried. So much banter written to perfection. Even Annie calling Will by different names starting with Will made me laugh each time. I just finished and already want to start it all over again!
