The Lord of The Rings has got to be the best fantasy series of all time. While I’m mostly partial to the hobbit because it’s a short adventure story with not as much backstory and side trips, the fellowship of the ring, two towers, and return of the king are epic series that feature ordinary, everyman heroes and epic struggles of good vs evil resolved through empathy and small acts of goodness winning the day. Not to mention the moving friendships formed along the way.
