I had an awesome start to my reading year with this one!

THE ONLY issues I had with this vook were I wish there was some more back story on side characters and the story seemed coincidental at times.

This was absolutely brutal. And yet so beautiful.

I really enjoyed this book. The author tells the story from the perspective of the two main characters, Adam and Julian, and as the reader you are charmed by both boys in different ways. The story manages to be both absolutely heartbreaking and uplifting at different points. Worth reading.

I have waned to read this book for a while because of the heavy tone it seem to have, according to other reviews I read, but when I saw at at my local library I took the chance and I’m glad I did, because even when sometimes it’s hard too read, the scenes with the uncle, interactions with classmates and teachers, Julian, Adam, their friendship is worth reading.
You can tell how much they cared for each other, and even when you feel that Adam is not making the right choices, you know it is not because he doesn’t care, but he’s a teenager after all, who thinks he got it, who thinks Julian is his responsibility and no ones else, he was assigned to him after all, but he never gives up on Julian, he never stops doing what he thinks it’s right.

This was soooo good! Made me so emotional. I love how the book centers on friendship. I know I’m going to be thinking about this book for a long time.

This book was super fun to read as a group and be able to share thoughts, feelings, and theories. There came a point where I felt like Adam was a pretty one-dimensional character and was only his ADHD. But other than that, it was a super cute and heart-wrenching book.

Really feel like this book needs about 20 trigger warnings. Really feel like it deserves more attention for talking about important issues. (Review to come later, I'm. Feeling a tad ********.)
