Unbelievably believable book. I devoured every page and was completely caught up in the story. I live in Oregon, and we have had our fair share of terrifying serial killers. The author absolutely nailed the tone and setting of the communities. (It helps that she's from Oregon herself.) The story is told from a dual POV and full of so many questions and moments of doubt on both sides that I didn't realize the truth of the identity of the kidnapped girl until it was revealed. I had plenty of theories, though! Fantastic book and incredible storytelling. Five stars!
