As always, Agatha Christie creates well-paced, twisty mysteries. I did get an inkling of who the true culprit might be in this one, however.

I'm reading through all the Poirot novels; this is number 8. As usual, Agatha Christy doesn't disappoint...murder mystery at it's finest.

Outrageous! When I finished, I thought, too many plot twists, secret identities and general mayhem... I mean... cocaine, really? But then as I tried to sleep, I thought how, no, actually, all the surprises were hinted at earlier, some right from the beginning, and how even the misdirections, like the bit about the painting, all get tied up.
Poirot calls Hastings a dog a lot, but then switches and starts calling himself a dog. There must have been a dog around when Christie wrote this.
