This book definitely does what it says on the tin: change the way you think.

I would definitely recommend this book for anyone and everyone, as I believe it has something for anyone as the chapters cover a wide range of topics.

So after going through a rough patch last year I decided to finally purchase this book (alongside Brianna Wiest's 'The Mountain Is You') which I had been eyeing for a few years but never really seemed to get around buying.
It took me a while to read but only because I truly wanted to immerse myself in my emotions and feelings, processing every chapter so that I could get the best outcome from it - which has totally worked for me.

For me, this is a book I will probably be revisiting quite often, especially when things get rough and I need some guidance.

One of the worst books I’ve ever read. Calling it a book maybe it’s an overstatement: it’s just an ensemble of repetitive, senseless and/or predictable BULLET POINTS. It surely is NOT a book with any essays that will change the way I think. Please don’t waste your time and money.

Bad advice, boring. Nothing groundbreaking.

Honestly. Mid.

I started this book after my ex ended our year-and-a-half long relationship. I read it when I was broken, happy, sad, drunk, sober, on the subway, after I was raped, at my parents house, on a plane, in Central Park, during class, etc. I don’t typically cry while reading. She made me sob. She made me laugh. She made me think so much I had to put the book down and journal about it. I am forever grateful for this book.

There are definitely some good points in this book my gripe is that for every 1 good piece of advice or idea there was one that either conflicted itself, didn't really make sense, or was just plain weird. I somewhat enjoyed reading this book but I constantly found myself becoming distracted by the monotonous pacing and onslaught of information at every page.

guys, this was boring
