Most essays felt generic and similar. While there were a couple of notable exceptions, I felt that this was a ChatGPT generated book.

It could be summarized in 10 essays and still convey the same message. I liked the general message of the book and the essays, but they were lacking in depth and value.

It’s a great book if it’s the first self improvement book you’ve ever read. But not very good compared to other similar books.

⭐⭐⭐,5/5

What can I say about this masterpiece? This book is filled with so much wisdom and compassion. It's very quotable and I'd highly recommend it, I'm probably going to get the physical copy myself cause i liked it that much.

3.5 rounded to 4… but a very soft round up. ◡̈ This book was good! It took me a long time to read, but I think it was one that I needed to slowly digest. There were plenty of one liners as well as general concepts that I definitely found myself scribbling down. Of course there were some cliches that I rolled my eyes at and some personal opinions of hers that I disagreed with and it did get VERY repetitive... but overall I think the book was good and I did take away more than I thought I was going to!

I loved this book! While some parts may feel a bit repetitive toward the end, it offers so many valuable messages and reminders that many of us could benefit from in our daily lives. The book touches on universal themes and addresses common challenges we all face, such as finding purpose, navigating relationships, and exploring the complexities of the human mind. The insights are genuinely helpful, encouraging readers to reflect and grow toward becoming the best versions of themselves.

No essays, just short texts. Nevertheless, a very good start that I've marked a lot. However, there was a lot of repetition and contradiction towards the middle and end, which was quite bothersome. A major criticism is the prominent idea: 'Only you determine your life. Regardless of life circumstances, you can achieve anything you want.' A challenging notion, especially when considering mental health, illness, etc. Still, three stars as there are some memorable quotes in the book, but otherwise quite shallow.

started this book because i saw great reviews on social media - sadly i didn't find it the good read i was promised. in my opinion a wildly overrated book with ideas that have been published and discussed many times and if you have a background with psychology/pedagogy or anything remotely similar, you will not find this as 'life (or thought)-changing' as promised.

Despite being non-fiction (something I don’t read often), I really enjoyed this! I enjoyed some pets more than others as some essays applied more to myself than others but overall, it felt like a really good, introspective book.

Will definitely come back to when I need some motivation to be alive and just “be”.
