Listened to this whole ass thing on a car ride. Best for people managers, though some ideas for ICs. Would read/skim again. But I also thought it was rather long. One of those summary books would probably be enough to get the info from here.

Fine, but read High Output Management instead (or at least first).

Great book about leadership and management with tons of practical examples and insights! It teaches how to increase the productivity of your team without the burn-out of your teammates, how to become a multiplier and genius maker leader, and how to inspire people to work more and go out of their borders.
Definitely recommend reading and reread.

Well, that put into words I'd started doing as a reaction. Growing up in a big family, my mom taught me that, when things get too heated, sometimes you have to turn off the stove.

Working with a diminisher can feel like frying. I started to feel my own diminisher tendencies expanding. I appreciate this reinforcement that I can pull myself out of that spiral AND take the other person up with me.

And maybe most helpfully, I don't have to rely on only my willpower to help me be successful when everything gets to feeling to heavy.
