ARC from Netgalley

This would totally have appealed to my mystery-loving elementary-aged self and 100% appealed to my cozy-British-mystery-loving adult self. Agatha Christie as a child, and a character in a mystery much like those she wrote? With a young Hector Perot (Hercule Poirot) as a friend? Yes, please!

An absolutely delightful cozy British mystery for kids! When Aggie is first on the scene of a suspected murder, she enlists the help of her new friend Hercule to crack the case. Hercule's keen eye and Aggie's vivid imagination point them many places... but will they find the murderer before it's too late?

Absolutely delightful.

I was excited to read this book based on the simple idea that it was based on the fictional adventures of 12-year-old Aggie Morton (Agatha Christie). I am glad to say that it did not disappoint. It was incredibly fun to read, and I've already ordered the next installment in the series.

2.5 stars rounded up. Okay read but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It just didn’t 100% click with me.

An Agatha Christie-esque mystery for tweens! I loved it, the protagonist is delightfully morbid in her imaginations and conducts Sherlockian deduction! An enjoyable blend of murder and adventure.

I would give this book 3.75
This was a great read and i felt like it was spoild retelling but with a twsit. I really loved the main character in this read and the friendshipa at the heart of this read. This story while being a mysyery did tackle many harder issues like grief and immigration. I also thoight the the mystery was hard to solve. I don't thinkt the wrtiing was a clear as captivating as a read but it was quick read and woud check out more books in the future
