This is a beautiful, touching, heartfelt, often really funny road trip filled with adventures and conversations that help the two 18 year old main characters find their way. They search for meaning and authenticity in life while dealing with grief, illness, the end of relationships, and the uncertainty of whether they're on the right path. The author talks about challenging subjects and emotions with care. I highly recommend this for someone who's looking for a fun, adventurous story that also digs deeper into the inner worlds of the two protagonists. There is a literal roadtrip and also metaphorical journeys, and all are delightful.
