Thanks to Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really really enjoyed this! Perfect for fans of Adam Silvera.
The characters were very relatable and real, I especially loved Jack's character and how nuanced his development was.
I laughed out loud at many parts, especially the scene where they try to get Oscar's car back, with the mannequins- hilarious!
I only wish we could have had a bit more of Hallie's individual chapters.
Also, I was so hopeful that they would indeed meet 6 months later at the wind organ - then again, I realise that what actually happened is much more believable for the characters, and was in fact a much better ending.

Literally now one of my favorite books. It's so cute and really deep and relatable. Perfect for finding yourself and the true meaning of how you wanna live your life. Perfect coming of age story

This book was a fun, lighthearted read with a heartfelt story. All of the characters--side and main characters alike--were fun and intriguing, and added color to the story. I enjoyed reading from the perspectives of both main characters, but especially Hallie's. Her story specifically pulled me in and made me want to keep reading.

While overall I enjoyed the story, the writing left something to be desired for me. It seemed like there was a lot of telling rather than showing, and I found myself skimming through scenes as a result. Some of the story's events felt very random with little purpose other than to add more scenes to the story. And I wanted a bit more from the romance, as the ending didn't quite hit home for me.

I would recommend if you're looking for an easy, lighthearted read about an adventurous road trip with fun and heartfelt characters.

I usually don't care for road trip books but this one just hit right.

Well, this book is added to my fave book list now! It's amazing!!! There were lines that you'll never forget and I loved it for that matter. Strangers, different people who had each kind of problem, random adventure = my kind of book, absolutely haha. I liked how everything that I had expected from their journey did not happen which only goes to show that I'm bad at predicting things jk. The three characters (Oscar included or maybe 4 for Princess the dog haha) were all amazing in their own way, did not expect that I'll be fond of Oscar too despite him just showing in short moments once they have arrived in SF. Loved the way how the characters were not forced and hastily make them close to one another and that their bond just gets stronger little by little which makes it more heartwarming. The tattoo and the scene in the ocean = best parts, well actually all the things in the book were the best for me haha. I also liked how the two get to vents it out to their Mom their situation (especially Hallie's Mom) after all the traveling that happened. Lessons were learned along the way and I am so proud of them! The ending, well, I had expected that they get to meet on the said date however while reading how it ends, I realized it was the best decision not to let them meet again on SF plus the way how the author incorporates their thinking made me really think that of course that, that ending moment is only right because that is how they are from the very start and that is their character and I loved them even more for that.
