So good I love Sager’s writing. Wanted more of Boome. A very unrealistic novel - not a fan of supernatural stuff.

I really enjoyed this book. I have loved the few other works this author has published that I have read, and this one was no exception. There were plenty of twists and turns throughout to keep me on my toes. My one flaw is that is a cut and paste of "Rear Window" in many aspects, which made some of it predictable.

Just couldn't get into it.  Too much talk about toxic drinking alcohol.

There’s no such thing as happily ever after. There’s only happy for a short period of time before everything falls apart.

This story was really wild! There were lots of twists and turns. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I knocked it down from five stars, because the sci-fi element being introduced so last minute kind of threw me for a loop. I didn’t dislike it I just didn’t expect it because we were already about 300 pages in, and there weren’t science-fiction elements before that.

The book started really interesting. The pace was really fast, the story seemed interesting and promising. I was really excited to find out if Katherine was alive and if not who killed her. I started suspecting different people and trying to find out more from the "now" perspective. Then the part when Casey found Katherine in the basement possessed came and everything went downhill. First of all what the hell... second this story had so much potential and was ruined by this supernatural spirit (Len's spirit) who was possessing Kath only because he wanted to revenge Casey. It was such an unnatural twist that it just threw me off. After that the second plot twist where Tom was drugging his wife was so unnecessary and i felt like the author was just trying to drag the book by a few chapters. Overall the begging had sooooo much potential and it was just ruined. Absolutely disappointed.
