Goofy as the K-pop Confidential series is, considering I'm not the target audience I still managed to find myself thoroughly entertained by the characters and silly writing style. Plot-wise I actually enjoyed this more than Confidential for sheer absurdity and audacity lmao. I did end up sincerely enjoying some parts, though,
like Cadance's mental break
which I found suuuper fun to read. The only thing I'd say is that rather than YA, I think a slightly younger audience (middle school?) would probably engage with it best and most genuinely. Overall it's a crazy, silly and light read to destress with even for older readers like me, as long as you suspend your disbelief and not take it too seriously lol

It was a nice read. I liked how the story slowly picked up and revealed everything piece by piece. A great sequel from the first book!

This is a rough one to rate. Some aspects of the first novel required suspension of disbelief, however, I feel like this one went above and beyond what I could see as possible. It is a fictional story, of course, so I'll just accept some aspects of this as a fantasy. In that case, the story structure wasn't my favorite, to be honest.

Candace is an interesting protagonist in that there are times where she feels like a "not like other girls" type of character. The first novel shows a girl who was reluctant to engage with K-pop publicly and was ignorant of a lot of things in the industry because she cared what other people thought. When she enters the industry (because she auditioned as a joke

I had so much fun with K-Pop Confidential, and K-Pop Revolution did not disappoint! I was expecting a good time, and forgot that Stephan loves to play with your emotions. I loved seeing Candace's continued growth, and fell in love with the new characters introduced. I just wish someone would create some fanart for their outfits, because I really need to see these. This solidified that I'll read whatever Stephan Lee writes.

The sequel to K-Pop Confidential gave me so much second-hand anxiety, but I loved the resolution. Highly recommend these books - super cute and clever reads.
