Deep examination of the life of Oppenheimer. Very much enjoyed - excellent thorough writing that draws on extensive interviews and research to depict him. Found the middle section to drag a bit (so many reports were discussed!) but the first and last two sections were very engaging.

Riveted and educated by this tome that took a quarter of a century to complete. J. Robert Oppenheimer was a chemist who had something of a philosopher's soul and a poet's heart. This, in conjunction with his claim to fame, makes him a fascinating human interest case and an incredibly sympathetic character.

A fantastic biography. The movie is great but the book captures so much more.
Yes, I am one of those* people.
Interesting biography with a tremendous volume of source material.
