Excellent historical horror biography. If you like the film you will love the book. I read it twice.

It's a magnum opus in every sense. It took me a while to finish up the work but I am glad that it happened that way. The work is astounding and absolutely scholarly. There are so many thoughts running in my mind after completion but none can do justice to the voluminous effort the authors have put in to write this book.
What I really liked is that it's not about a particular thread. Rather it travels across all the threads associated with Oppenheimer. So to say that it's just a biography would be wrong. Yes of course Oppenheimer remains the central thread but it does go into all the aspects related to that era of politics. I must say it's an absolute must read for anybody remotely interested with Oppenheimer or Trinity project or the whole idea of nuclear disarmament.
