Loved seeing characters from Heroes of Olympus show up in here, especially Reyna!!
I’m so glad that she became a hunter, and I’m so glad that we got to see Artemis and that it showed the powerful sibling dynamic that Apollo and Artemis have

Definitely some hard hitting moments with Jason’s funeral, and how everything in these books is affecting New Rome.

I wasn't sure how this would end up going, but I gotta say that I'm relieved that Apollo and Meg have made it as far as they have. I'm relieved that Rick decided not to put us through more pain after the last book. I'm still not sure how they're gonna fix everything in the next book, but here's to hoping it all goes well.

Ngl compared to the third book this one kind of fell flat a bit, but it was still a banger. The end of the series is drawing near. This was the transition book we needed to go from the third book to the fifth, like we don't rlly need to talk much about this one.

I feel like we're getting to the realm of "is this really middle grade?" with this series, but it sort of makes sense. At the point these books were publishing, the original readers of Percy Jackson were much older. This book is intense, and it's not even the finale of the series yet! We've still got one more book to go!

Go into this book knowing there are some intense moments in the battle at the end of this book that'll probably keep you on the edge of your seat. Also, this whole series is (basically) a character study on Apollo, and I love getting to see how he's evolved throughout this entire quest. He's made friends, he cares about people, and it works so well for the overall arch of this particular series as well.

Curious to see how Riordan is going to end this series becuase I'm sure it's going to be with a bang!
