A) it's just great to read something positive right now.
B) it's also nice to have someone admit their problems and then explain how an introvert processes it and then, using a positive outlook, responds to the problem.
C) I appreciate that the book sn't trying to apologize for being introverted or trying to tell how to not be introverted or why it's better... It's just "here I am."

I loved! So much! I listened to it on Audible and before I was even finished I bought the hard copy and the journal/workbook companion.

There were things about this book I really liked. Doyle’s critique of how modern society treats women and girls is spot-on. Her heartfelt compassion for her kids and family is moving.
For the most part, I didn’t resonate with Doyle’s ideas and had some major disagreements with her, specifically in terms of how she describes faith. It read like a lot of pithy Instagram captions to me. I found the platitudes weak and excessive. I do not care for the mini essay writing style — it felt forced to me.
HOWEVER. IT IS STILL IMPORTANT TO READ THIS BOOK. It is a national bestseller for a reason. One of the biggest lessons my dad ever taught me was that you can’t critique anything you haven’t read. For that reason, I’m glad I can have a gauge on what is popular and pervasive in female thought right now. If you’ve read this I’d love to hear your thoughts!
