I received a free digital copy of this book from the author. I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

This story follows Tate who suffers from Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after her previous relationship that was very bad and ended badly to put it frankly. She’s moved out of her hometown to live on campus at her college with her two best friends and is experiencing college life. One evening at a party she runs into the college campus “bad boy” Axel who shows interest in her and starts pursuing her. Tate, on the other hand, is trying to decide whether she wants or can risk being in another relationship after the previous bad one she had.

This book dealt with a lot of heavy stuff with Tate’s disorder, as well as forgiveness and learning from mistakes. Tate had to learn how to get her disorder under control, and you really see how she learns how to live with it and control it. She has fantastic friends who are always there for her no matter what, and Axel as well once he enters the picture.

I will say this book kind of dragged on for me. I mean for most of the middle of the book, there was really nothing going on besides these kids partying and drinking all the time, until the end. You do get to see how the relationships change and grow, but there’s really more to life than drinking and partying. Of course, that may just be me. I never understood the partying and drinking at that age, or well any age for that matter. Also, some of the mistakes these kids did were NOT OKAY in my opinion. You can only forgive and trust someone so much after they make the same mistake again and again. Which I guess is what this book focused on was forgiveness and second chances.

Overall, the story is cute and was well written. I liked the representation of this form of PTSD and what goes on in someone’s head with that disorder, and to see Tate learns how to take control of it. I give this 3.5/5 ⭐️

If you love books with college romances with all that angst and drama, then I think you’ll enjoy this one!

Okay, I have found one of my new top books. It gave me so many ‘After’ vibes and I consequently fell in love with it immediately. It’s an emotional turmoil throughout reading, you feel anger, sadness, joy and happiness. Safe to say, I’ve completely fallen in love with Axel, he’s such a precious character. We hear about his past and worry that Tate will get hurt, but he completely changes for her. Tate, as a character, was amazing. We see her battle mental health in such raw ways, bringing to light the struggles that happen day to day for some people. It’s at the end when we see her face her worst fears and come out on top that my heart truly melted. I actually felt so proud of her after the connection I made with her through her story. Axel and Tate’s happily ever after was everything. I cannot wait to read the next book. The talent of such a young author never fails to amaze me.

"Love was wanting the best for someone, no matter what the outcome was going to be for you."

First of all, I want to say thank you Trinity for giving me the opportunity to read your book in exchange for an honest review.

What can I say, this book was BEAUTIFUL and I utterly enjoyed it. I knew I'm gonna enjoy it 'cause these kinds of books are always so addictive.

From the first time, Axel and Tate danced I had butterflies in my stomach. I wanted them to be more of a slow burn 'cause I feel like everything happened really fast between them, but that's just my opinion. I loved their trip to Chicago, that was probably my favorite chapter, they were just so cutee and perfect.
A lot happened in this book, I feel like too much for just one book, but everything turned out great in the end. A lot of drama, but also, so many beautiful moments that made me swoon.

I loved the fact that it wasn't just about Axel and Tate. I liked how you included the other characters too. I loved Tate, Gianna and Claire, how they were always there for each other, how they took care of each other when going to a party.
Gianna and Ash were so cute too.

I also liked the titles in every chapter, I love when books have that.

I really really enjoyed your writing and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna hear about you again and I'll definitely read more from you.

"Love was a deep concept, a difficult one to fully grasp, and even though it was often complicated, it was usually worth it."

ARC is furnished by the author in exchange for honest review*

This debut novel is very promising. I am surprise it is written by 19 years old. She provides a deep insight of growing up in a light of PTSD. The idea of the story is also good.

With that being said, what is packing is the chemistry between Tate and Axel. I also want to see more of Axel's character development. Mainly the POV is from Tate. There are many secondary characters in this book. Secondary characters should be able to support the develpment of the main characters and the plot. In this book, it is lacking.

I want to say, despite the shortcoming, I see many potential for Miss Lemm to develop her talent as a writer.

This is a story about Tatum who suffers from C-PTSD and fighting to lose herself in Axel.

I was nervous going into the story as someone who suffers from PTSD due to an abusive relationship. The way Lemm described Tatum’s trigger moments and just her thought processes period was done in a way that truly highlights what someone goes through. As I got further into the book, I wondered if Lemm herself or someone close to her had gone through something similar.

It was truly a breath of fresh air to see it described so perfectly to how it actually feels. Seeing how Tatum was able to slowly work her way through her C-PTSD with the held of her friends, Axel and his brother Ash was incredible.

After Tatum decided to give Axel a chance, he screwed up BIG time. They had gotten into a fight once she found out Ash and him made a bet that he could get her in bed. He ended up cheating on her and she walked in on it. It was her worst fear. After being apart for two weeks, he saves her from Nick who thought he could get lucky while she was drunk. He saves her again when a stalker Lucas tries to attack her. He ends up in jail after beating Lucas pretty badly.

She realizes he laid everything on the line for her and that she could do the same for him. I think my favorite was at the end when she confronts Connor (the ex who caused the C-PTSD).

I loved the story and can’t wait to read book two Forever Frozen.

Tatum & Axel have a complicated past. This bad boy romance is a rollercoaster ride of their ups and downs as they figure out if they work or make things worse. On top of that, girls are throwing themselves at Axel, and Tatum has a persistent creep.

There were points when I thought they’d never get a happy ending, but I kept turning the page after every drama. It led to a satisfying ending that definitely left me wanting book two!

I received a free e-copy of the book from the author in exchange of an honest review.
First of all, I want to thank you, Trinity, for offering me the chance of reading your book. And after reading the acknowledgments, I want to tell you this: you should never doubt yourself again! Your writing style is amazing! I’m so glad you had support from people around you and you never gave up. The book is proof that you are a writer! And a good one, I might add.
And now, about the book: “Forever burn” is a romance book which follows the beginning of a love story that has ups and downs, between Tate (Tatum) the female main character and Axe (Axel) the male main character.
Both of them have their fair share of problems from the past, but together they learn to be there for each other in order to conquer their fears and in order to learn how to trust.
When I first started reading this book, I felt like it was a perfect fit for me. Books about college/university students are my favorites! I don’t know what it’s about them, but they always win me over. And as you can imagine Tate and Axe are exactly from this category!
And it all starts with a party! Which I also love: when characters dance with each other, always give me a good vibe and this book didn’t disappoint. Axel and Tate’s first dance was the trigger for me. From that moment on... I knew I would love this book. And I was right!
I did love it! And Tate’s dirty mouth was one of the funniest and most enjoyable things about this book. I love it when the language is dirty in a book. If you want to swear, just do it. If you want to raise your middle finger to a nasty bitch, just do it! If you want to curse your manipulative ex boyfriend, go ahead! You have my full support!

I have issues reading books with young protagonists, especially when they are in dangerous/traumatizing situations. I wasn't anticipating that being a problem with this book because Tatum is in college. The flashbacks to her past trauma are incredibly vivid though and views of her being traumatized as a young teen are painful.
