This was a weird one, in the best of ways. I absolutely ate this up. There were some things that didn't completely make sense to me but I didn't care! This was the perfect amount of misleading and mysterious creepiness. I loved the conversations and the ending was just crazy!

I watched the movie right after this and I have to say... what the fuck? The movie made me feel like I missed something or I didn't understand the book like I thought I did. What was with that ending??? Too theatrical for me. Or am I missing something?

The anxiety and claustrophobia I had reading this literally had me scared to fall asleep while reading. It was one of visceral

It’s one of those books that you give 3.5 stars and then you read the ending and find it brilliant, you keep thinking about the book for like a week or so and then decide that it’s one of your favorite books and give it 5 stars.

Finished this in a day so clearly I was INTO IT. I was scared, it was suspenseful. I probs won't sleep now, so a good horror.

I did guess the ending quite early on and would have preferred for it to have been tied up a little neater hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Twists and turns describe this unsettling book. Constantly on edge, readers of this book will follow an empty relationship as they head towards the scariest part of any couple: meeting a significant other's parents.

*3.5* really liked the book and the movie it was an absolute mind fuck of a thriller and I had to sit there after finishing it to process what I just read it was creepy and unnerving psychological and philosophical and I enjoyed it but something about it just missed for me a little bit I wanted to be more scared by it maybe that’s just me being awkward but I liked the short and sweet making you think about it and not explaining too much but just enough

So it wasn’t that . I just wanted to be more scared than I was I was more creeped out but still a good read watch so
