A unique examination of aging and the ways the past can catch up with us.

this was originally intended to be a quick read to hold me over on another hold that i had, but i honestly loved this read. i enjoyed how matter-of-fact hornclaw was and the cast of characters & circumstances they all met carried me through to the bittersweet end. i’d love to see this adapted into a movie or series tbh.

Vielversprechende Prämisse (65-jährige Auftragskillerin), aber so langweilig umgesetzt, als bekäme man die Handlung des eigentlichen Buchs nur nacherzählt. Auf sehr langweilige Weise.

This is the story of a 65 year old female assassin who is known as the best in her field and is currently considering retirement. She lives in a self-imposed isolation with her ageing dog (also I doubt being a contract killer is the kind of job that allows you to keep friends). She works for a 'disease control' agency (a company that is paid to kill people). For the past four decades, she has killed lots of people from cheating spouses to corporate enemies. But one mistake at an assassination job leaves her open to the repercussions of her previous kills.

This is was a really easy one for me to read and I did enjoy it. I have to say that this book is very similar to Kill Bokson, the Netflix show.
