This book was probably my favorite in the series so far. A lot went on in this book, and it wasn't as borrring... Well except for thewhole dwarf king thing. I may or may not have just skimmed over that part.

There were lots of plot twists in this book, a lot of them expected, but some of them were unforseen.

I'm gonna read the last book in the series titled 'Inheritance'.

I tried reading this, but couldn't get through the first 50 pages. So after a couple of weeks, I managed to check out the audiobook. It's the only way, I'm sure, I'd have been able to finish the book.

It was very long and drawn out. I kept saying, "get to the point already!" The ending was interesting, although on part you could see coming a mile away. It's too bad that so much of this wasn't cut (like all the traveling) down to a few sentences as opposed to pages and pages.

By the time the next book comes out, I'm sure I'll have forgotten all that happened in this one. It took a long time between Eldest and Brisingr that I couldn't remember much of what happened. Although, it took years between Harry Potter books and I never forgot most of what happened between books like this.

I will read the final book to find out what happens. I've invested a lot of time into the SERIES. I found that I liked Roran a lot more than Eragon. Roran felt more like a leader than indecisive Eragon. Roran doesn't have magic or a dragon to help him in his fighting or decision making. Eragon sounds like a whiny little kid. I hope he outgrows this soon. And stops asking everyone else what he should do.

It took us way too long to read this. A chapter here, a chapter there, but in the end, I think I liked this one the best of the three. And we've finished just in time for book 4....ugh. We've decided to read some Tolkien now. ;)
