This is my favorite book

the beyond the play series. I love the

the

fake

marriage trope. Overall, this is one of the best hockey romance books. I have read in a long time.

Adults actually working through their trauma?? Talking about Things? Nailed it.

I always love Stephanie Archer. This was another great story in the Vancouver Storm series. I did think they were a little too mean to each other at first. So much so it almost made the moment they finally said f it a little less satisfying, but in the end they were so good together.

I was so excited going into this because I LOVE arranged marriage and hockey romance, and I love to see these tropes put together. However, it was also enemies to lovers, and when they were enemies, THEY WERE ENEMIES.

Volkov and Georgia went beyond gentle teasing and banter at the beginning and it honestly really bothered me. Neither was kind to each other at all.

Eventually, of course, they realized their reasons for hating each other were incorrect and fell in love and were SO SWEET and SO CUTE, and I loved to see  Alexei’s character growth and journey of meaning. I just wish they had better communication at the beginning and as they switched to falling in love
