Light hearted, fun read. Its a perfect summer or beach read (even if hockey doesn't exactly scream summer lol) and does the marriage of convenience trope well.
I hadn't read the other books, and it probably would have had more impact if I had, but there are a lot of characters from previous series if you like that.
The pacing was pretty good, I thought the evolution from resenting each other to liking each other was well done. Although the hating each other was always kind of ridiculous. Personally I felt that she was just as horrible to him in their initial meeting for what she said, but he ends up apologising a bit more.
FMC enjoys dressing up and clothes while still being intelligent and hard working, that was nice to see.
MMC inner monologue lust was a bit constant at times but I still liked him overall. They struck a good balance of him wanting to make her life easier, look after her, while not disrespecting her.
Some of the banter was rolls eyes but some of it was genuinely funny too.
Overall if you are looking for a fun marriage of convenience, look no further
