Sweeping declaration! 🎺 You all need to listen to this audiobook. I read B&B and was therefore wholly unprepared for the sexiness of this duet style narration. HOT DAMN! 🥵 I love that both narrators had little parts together rather than only reading 100% of their chapters only.
The story was fun. If we’re comparing to B&B, it is lower action for a majority of the book, but the marriage of convenient and relationship building was great. Plus, the final portion of the story is quite dramatic so it has the action too.
I’m curious to see where the series goes with Fionn and arose. They’re a bit unknown so far.

"Leather and Larkin" is the second installment in Brynne Weaver's Ruinous Love trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed the book; however, when comparing it to the first book in the series, "Butcher and Blackbird," it feels somewhat slower in pace. I appreciated the enemies-to-lovers dynamic, which I found to be well-implemented, and I found Lark to be a very endearing character. I also enjoyed the concept of Larkin—an imposing, muscular man who needs glasses. It was a humorous detail that I found particularly amusing.
While the pacing may be more subdued and there were fewer intense or murder-related scenes—focusing more on a single character rather than multiple antagonists—I still found the book to be incredibly funny and an entertaining read. Overall, I believe it is well worth the time, and the bonus chapter is particularly worth reading.

You know I loved a book if I giggled and kicked my feet, and if you know me, you also know what that means…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I knew I was gonna love Lachlan and Lark just from the first book and this book did not disappoint. I can’t wait for the next book!
