I liked this one better than the last one. Some of the drama from the last one carried over but it was much more tolerable because Kaitlin had worked through her distress over FA ending in finding this play. Also I just really enjoy the Kaitlin/Sky dynamic.

The fifth in a series of books dealing with teen move star Kaitlyn or Kate-Kate as her mom likes to call her. Kaitlyn's long standing TV show has ended and Kaitlyn has agreed to do a play on Broadway. This means relocating from LA to NYC. Can Kaitlyn make it on Broadway? Will she and her not in the biz Austin make their relationship work LD? Will Kaitlyn's parents realize that she's old enough to make career decisions for herself?

I’ve tried reading Secrets of My Hollywood Life: Broadway Lights once before, but failed. I’m very interested in Broadway, and the only reason I got through it this time was because I know the locations and have been there. I’d visited the Shake Shack twice during my visit to New York.

The book, however, was like most books describing the life of the rich and famous, and frankly, not at all interesting. A lot of the book was quite realistic, but I trust the Hollywood Secrets in the books. (I do wish that I’d read this book before my visit to New York; I might have met Daniel Radcliffe, Norbert Leo Butz and Aaron Tveit if I had.)

I absolutely love everything Jen Calonita has written, but I've been with this series for so long, that is holds a special place in my heart. It's just such a fun series! I get a kick out of all the outdated celebrity name drops and drama. I'm secure in the knowledge that Jen Calonita is the queen of happy endings, so when I read the last book, although I'll be sad, I know that everything will turn out fine.
