I absolutely love H.J and her writing. I have read most of her books and I have to say this one has become my favorite. She touched so many emotions with this book. It was extremely well written and had you hooked from the beginning to the end. I honestly want to make Hart my book boyfriend for life. To bad we cant clone him into a real person. Seriously Hart is just down right yummy. He has the biggest heart , cares no loves his mom like nothing in this world and loves hard. He would make any girl feel like a queen.
Hart is headed home to spend some time with his mother. The one person in this world that he would go to the end of the earth and back for. She is not doing well and he wants to spend as much time with her as he can. While being home he is dealing with his mother and his crazy aunt. Oh my god I freaking love his aunt Peaches. She had me cracking up every time she was part of the story. Anyway along the way Hart runs into Vannie at the bar that she works at and sings at with his Aunt Peaches.
Vannie is a beautiful broken girl, whose hiding behind walls that would surround a country. She had an extremely rough past. But I guarantee when you finally find out what her past really was like you will need the tissues. I absolutely loved her transformation through this story. HJ wrote it beautifully. You could clearly see and feel what she goes through to become the strong person that she is at the end .
I couldnt put this book down until I absolutely had too. It was beautifully written with so much emotion and feeling. There was times I flat out cried at what happened , other times I wanted to climb in the book and kick some butt . But most of all it was so gripping from the beginning to the end. My new favorite from HJ and on my list of top 10 for 2017. Highly recommend reading this I guarantee you will enjoy.

Once again HJ Bellus has done it again! The ★★★★✩ 4.5 stars read is one that will have you believing in love in the least likely of places. I never though I would fall deep for a group of brothers until this beautiful world that the author has brought us with her words.

My heart has never healed from my childhood, granting me the power to love another person.

Army brother, Hart Richards is a man that had me falling hard for him as the story progresses. His childhood home of Nashville is not "Home Sweet Home" to him. It will take you back to a place in his life that no one should ever live.

Throughout the read I was smitten on his deep bond he has with his mom, the loving banter relationship he has with his aunt, the utterly adorable love he has for little Izzy, and of course his band of brothers that is his family who are there for one another. He had everything he needed to live until he encounters a dark-haired waitress at his Aunt's Bar.

Cue in Savannah Ray. She is a goddess with a voice that catches Hart's attention. He is drawn to her but she is afraid to let anyone get to close nor let alone know her story. A woman with a past that will forever haunt her and one she should not have endured. Just thinking about it has me aching. She protects herself in a way where anyone sees her as a tough cookie trying to stay hidden and make it in life. That is until Hart. A man trying to prove himself to her in ways that had me smiling and LOL on many occasions.

We have two broken souls with a traumatic history that will have you broken hearted in tears. When Hart and Savannah get together you see a connection like no other open up to new heights. I really like the "Hartisms" as Savannah calls it. I was thrown in with many mixed emotions and wanted things to go their way. But nothing comes easy for these two and their love for one another will be tested. To believe and to have fate.
