I must say this was hard book to pick up due to its contents within it, but I must note I would never rate a book badly due to its chosen tropes especially when it's clearly stated before you even jump into the book that there is cheating and that it is the overall premise of the book. If you don't like cheating in the books you read then don't read them.. period
I mean, unnecessarily dramatic and tumultuous, and I normally don’t like books with cheating, but. On the recommendation of Jessica from PeaceLoveBooks, I gave it a shot, and it definitely had me invested. I liked how insistent he was that Olivia was it for him, and how attentive he was to her literal every need. Do men like that exist in real life? I guess yes since he did fuck somebody else, though I also get how she pushed him away. Whatever, it was weirdly satisfying.

More like 3.75! This was a really really cute and sad story. I really liked the writing and Bennett omg he was a sweetheart! Olivia kinda annoyed me sometimes and I think maybe the story needed more development to be perfect. But I still really enjoyed it

i really loved the first half and some of the second half but once it got to a certain point i was sick of it and sick of the characters. clarke was so sweet and made me so emotional but after half way he did a full 180 .. for worse. he started to irritate me and his comments were annoying. but i did enjoy and there were many parallels to this other marriage in crisis with infertility book i've read. i'm stuck with my rating so i'm going with 3.5

I thought the book was well written, but I just wasn’t totally satisfied.
If Bennett wanted Olivia back so badly, why couldn’t he stay away from his mistress? I don’t care if it was “only” three times. It was only 6 months! It made it hard for me to support their reconciliation. I wanted Olivia to make him work harder, but she caved to him so easily.
