Olivia and Bennett are incredibly lovable and frustrating characters. It really helps the story of a failing relationship and attempting to navigate the issues that come up in many marriages. Some of the side characters didn't really contribute to the story in a good way. I love Wren as a side character who wants to be positive but realistic. Outside of Wren, I wasn't keen on many characters. The pacing was a little off. It's amazing how much QB has developed her voice since this came out. One thing she nailed is the spice. Bennett and Olivia have an incredible sexual chemistry. This could be a really difficult read for some if the themes hit close to home, but this is a second chance romance that I enjoyed reading, despite the few criticisms.

#23for23 (Learn more: https://www.23for23.net/)

I listened to this audiobook with my old audible subscription because I learned of Tyler's work from the 23 for 23 challenge.

Brief Synopsis: Olivia and Bennett were the couple everyone wanted to be. Deeply in love, passionate, soul mates, every cliche about love. However, after seven years of marriage, they are in the process of getting a divorce. Where did things go wrong? Olivia knows the answers to that question, but Bennett doesn't...not after he loses his memory and the last three years. As Olivia tries to help Bennett recover from amnesia she begins to question what she thinks she knows about the dissolution of their marriage. Will Olivia and Bennett be able to move forward together by forgetting the past or are they doomed to repeat their mistakes?

Thoughts: I cannot believe that I had never heard of Tyler's work before reading this book! This book was so freaking good. The emotional exploration, the pain, the love, those insanely hot sex scenes. I am addicted to the way that Tyler writes. I went out and bought several of her other books I loved this one so much.

I liked Olivia more than Bennett throughout the book. It could have something to do with the plot, but I also felt like Olivia was more relatable and vulnerable. Bennett seemed a little too alpha for me at times. He also felt a little dense. I understand he was trying to win Olivia back and I did feel that the way that he attempted to win her back once he was actively communicating was genuine and moving. However, Olivia felt more in touch with her feelings and was open about her feelings throughout the book. Not simply about the relationship between her and Bennett, but between herself and Bennett's mother as well.

Tyler also writes side characters well, which can be hard to do. I loved Olivia and Bennett's best friends, found the arc of Bennett's mother fascinating, and had a very love-hate (mostly hate) relationship with a few of the character's rebounds.

If you love second-chance romances I would highly recommend this book.

Didn’t love how the cheating was handled. The MMC’s best friend justifying him staying with the woman he cheated with because she understood he still loved his wife felt icky.
