I don’t know how Q.B Tyler does it but somehow she can get me to read and enjoy a book with a trope I refuse to read.
Going into this I knew it would handle the cheating trope which I can’t stand but I wanted to give it a try anyways (especially since the cheating happens in the past and is the cause of them needing a second chance and doesn’t happen in the present) and honestly I enjoyed it a lot. I didn’t enjoy that it happened obvs but I felt like I was able to understand why Olivia forgave Bennett and I was happy for them!
I liked that we got the flashbacks from when they met and throughout their time together and we even get a flashback to the fateful night and his admission which was tough to read but needed.
The mom drama was so strange but Olivia does call her out on it and I loved that for her. Now the other woman drama I’m not a fan of Bennett having Olivia deal with it at one point but I do appreciate when he handles it later on in the book too.
There’s also a lot of sex, it’s used in their forgiveness and fights and just whenever/wherever they want and I didn’t hate it lol
I think this was a fun book, despite it having very angsty tropes it didn’t feel heavy. There’s some fun moments and some heavy ones that also made me sad but I had fun and the spice was spicin as per usual. I don’t know if id read another book with cheating trope but I am glad I gave this one a try!

I really really wanted to love this book, but sadly it fell short for me. I enjoyed the beginning and loved the idea of her husband (soon to be ex-husband) losing his memory of the last 2 years and having no idea why they're getting divorced, but as the story progressed I had trouble sympathizing with the characters and the ending felt very rushed. My biggest issue was how the main storyline was resolved at the end. Without getting into too many spoilers, it just seemed like the events that led to the couples HEA happened totally out of the blue and very randomly. I would have preferred the story to stretch out over a long period of time and see the couple resolve their problems realistically.

This one has been sitting on my TBR for a while because I usually try to avoid the cheating trope because it’s just not for me, but I love QB Tyler so I thought I’d try it eventually. It was really emotional and I loved but also hated it at the same time. There were a lot of hard topics in this and I can see why Bennett did what he did (I’ll never understand cheating ever), I didn’t agree with it. I also didn’t like that the side characters were blaming Liv for B’s infidelity because she was supportive and “B went through it too”. Them getting back together after that wasn’t what bothered me. What bothered me was B’s lying and betraying Liv’s trust AGAIN by not being honest about regaining his memory and the pressure on her to take him back. He didn’t do enough groveling in my opinion and while he loves his wife, he needs therapy to deal with his shit. Overall I liked the story but I want to shake the sh!t out of Bennett.

This book has been on my radar for a little while and I really wanted to love it. But ultimately it was just okay IMO. I've seen a lot of reviews that are negative due to the cheating, but I knew about it going in so it didn't bother me. It was really apparent that Bennett loved his wife. The beggining of this book really had my attention, and there were some parts that I really enjoyed but things like Bennett's "alpha" personality, the fact that Bennett's mother was a nightmare and he never stood up to her for his wife, took me out of the story. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the mc other than sexual chemistry. Another thing that threw me off reading this book is that I don't feel like we got great discriptions of anyone. After reading this book I realized I don't have any real idea what age the MC are and what they look like. Or their friends for that matter. I did enjoy the amnesia part of this book, I didn't even mind when the hero hid the fact that he had his memories back. I just wished that the story had more to it then all the sex.
You know, I usually don’t like cheating trope. One of them always annoys me but these two are very balanced.
Don’t think you’re coming for something unique with the plotline because it’s basically like the others: couple struggling, he gets drunk and cheats, he tells her and she leaves him but eventually they come back together.
What I did like was the angst. I could feel HIS love and desperation for her. While I don’t support what he did, it was hard to not cheer for them because they do have a connection and he was so so so miserable without her. She indeed is his whole world and I guess you see that.
There’s OW and OM in the picture and I liked how we saw a bit of drama from both sides. Especially with OM, Bennett was so jealous but served him right.

Spoiler
Anyway. At the end, what annoyed me the most was how he still was 3 times with the woman he cheated with while they were handling the divorce. It wasn’t shown since the book starts 6 months after the events but still annoyed me. More than the cheating at this point. But the fact she was with other guy makes up for it.
I'm giving this five stars because I started doing a Scandal re watch and the main character's name is Olivia, and I kept picturing Olivia and Fitz from Scandal. IMO there wasnt enough grovelling, but I flew through this. The steamy scenes are great. The plot was ok.
“Your chemistry could stop anyone in their tracks. Watching you two together is like…witnessing magic.”
This is the absolute quote of the book. They were absolutely EVERYTHING.
Amazing. Breathtaking. Riveting.
Just a few words to describe the EXPERIENCE that is Forget Me Not.
I was hooked at the first page, crying by the time I hit chapter 7, and beyond in love with both Livi and Clarke by the end.
This couple is the embodiment of the marriage vows taken, even if there are stumbles on their path to HEA. And honestly, that’s what made this all so REAL!
“No one could save me from Bennett. My heart. My mind. My soul. All of it still belonged to him.”
“No, I just…I know he hurt you, and it kills me that he did that to you but…I think not being with him hurts you just as deeply.” -The problem they had certainly wasn’t a lack of love.
Ultimately this is a 5 star read, one of loss, heartbreak and betrayal, but also about healing and hope, and what comes after the storm. Powerful words from Tyler, my first read by this author, but most definitely not my last.

this was great until i realized he doesn't want to grovel. homeboy just sweet talked her and used his giant cock. that's it. i was expecting a book FULL of groveling. it's mentioned a few times he has money but i remember him taking her on 1 date? no gifts. no nothing. they just stayed at home most of the time... it was boring. he needed to work harder. he cheated on his wife!!!!! like you cannot just talk a lil bit and fuck a lot & then everything is okay?
i did like:
× interracial relationship. there wasn't much rep but the times things that were mentioned about Olivia being black were accurate.
× i really like them together. the chemistry is fire. and i'm glad they got their hea.

The angst is angsty when Bennett wakes up from a car accident and has no memory of separating from his wife. Told through Olivia’s POV and flashbacks this book was romantic and emotional, and spiiiicy. Be aware of CW. Excellent grovel.
- amnesia
- marriage in trouble
