This book enraged me from start to finish. Liv

was cheated on, and everyone gaslit her into believing she was at fault for not staying and fighting for the relationship. The male character, Ben, didn’t remember his mistake,

and I couldn’t care less if he could have died because the past shapes the future. This book was so painful to read, I felt like someone was twisting a knife in my gut. The characters' bond felt purely sexual, and the emotional aspects were told, not shown. I didn't want them to get back together, and I ended up angry with almost every side character. The “groveling” trope fell flat

since Ben didn’t even remember what he did wrong

. This is my first time hating a book so much, and I now know the

cheating

trope isn’t for me. No hate to the author—she writes what she wants. Hopefully, no woman ever takes inspiration from this book. I need to read a real rom-com to cleanse my palate. 😑
