"You can learn so much about a person simply by reading their words."

Neophyte is about Evan Jameson (from Book 1, Cruel) and Emily Cullen (from Book 2, Four Days) looking for the Monster that was on flee, with the help of Mr. X, to avenge what the Monster had done to Emily. If you've read Cruel and Four Days, you have to pick up this book right away! You will want to know what happened to the Monster next.

"Who really knows what extremes they're capable of until they're in the midst of doing them?"

For me, the pace was so slow until I got to the last 10 chapters. It was draggy and boring. Honestly I was kinda lost with the Purple stuffs and having Evan being confused about almost everything. If you like unreliable character, you would enjoy this book. I wished I could understand some scenes if the authors intended to make it metaphoric. Since I had read the first and second book and I knew what it was like from Evan and Emily's POV respectively, I wanted to know both perspectives in this book. I have the exact same questions as Evan's that no one can answer except Emily. On another note, I need to know the backstory of the Monster.

"The psychopath's greatest trait is that he fears absolutely nothing."

Personally, I think Neophyte wasn't as brutal, unsettling, and violent as Four Days. All in all, the books in this trilogy really made me reflect on many aspects especially with the heavy topics being involved among the characters. I hate to think that the characters portrayed in these books exist in real life. It gave me the irks. I advise you to read the first two books in order to understand what exactly is happening in this book.

I HATE BELTS.

Whoever the gifted one is, thank you for letting a reader like me knows what you feel. Being a gifted one surely can be both a curse and blessing.
