I liked book 2 MUCH more than book 1, there are aspects of this book I wish were less rigid. Also I basically cringe everytime they say “female”

This book is what I expected Maas to write. There was a more shocking plot and the

slow burn romance

was perfect for my tastes. The political aspect of the book is similar to fourth wing 🙌.

My third time reading this book and it still kept me up until the wee hours of the morning. It's a top favorite of all SJM books and series. I love the complexities of grief the main character works through and the introduction of the Court of Dreams - my all time favorite ensemble cast. This focuses more on character development than plot, though plot elements do progress from start to end.
