I'm not really sure how to rate this because while I actually mostly enjoyed the book I'm not sure how to feel about how Dakota's family conflict was handled. At points it made me uncomfortable with the different remarks made by Dakota and Sofia and how they were portrayed and villainized. I also thought that Sofia's family were redeemed pretty quickly without them having to apologize or acknowledge how any of their actions made her feel.

I was not expecting to like this book. Sofia was so unlikable in Logan’s book, and at the start of this one, but she was so compelling as the forgotten little sister with a serious case of imposter syndrome. This was my favorite in the series so far. I laughed, I cried so many times, and I really didn’t see how it would all work out in the end. I love when the MCs really have to work for their HEA, and this story was perfection.
I loved seeing the one everyone saw as the spoiled princess really evolve & shine!

It's been a while since the last time I visited Lark Cove and I can't help but feel a bit nostalgic about certain things. I adore this couple! I mean, Dakota is not your everyday Hero, but somehow he grows on you. In need of more drama, but overall a solid kicker here. Can't wait to read more from Devney Perry!
Loved this story but could have done without the months of them apart
DNF.... I personally couldn't do this trope. 1.5 stars because I do generally love Devney's writing style!
