this book was gorgeous. i loved the weaving of the story and the different POVs. I read this when I was younger and for the longest time it was my favorite book

It has been awhile since I have read children’s fantasy book and this one sits comfortably in the younger YA genre. I look fwd to reading it with my son.
The magical elements were not my usual cup of tea so had to keep reminding myself that this is a fantasy children’s book. So as long as I suspended my analytical mind, trying to find the metaphors or symbolism, and just enjoyed the book for what it was, it was good.

This book was so beautifully written especially in the last 40% it had me hooked! It took a me a while to get invested for the first 50%, however that could have just been life getting in the way of reading for me lol.
Definitely recommend the girl who drank the moon is a beautiful story about love sorrow and hope.

Beautifully written. If I was nitpicky, I would say it was a predictable plot. But otherwise this was so fun to read, it's a beautiful story with amazing characters and world-building and I recommend.
