I liked but didn't love this book.
I think I'm just not the target audience. It might be fun to read this book aloud with your kids, although there are some scary things in it. And I don't love reading about young children who can actively change the world with their powerful magic when they are being bratty. I also don't like books where the main character knows the answers to all the riddles and questions, but can't remember, because they've made themselves not remember. It's frustrating! So I didn't get too far in the book. Maybe it's me.

Très beau livre, la fin était un tout petit peu confuse mais le livre était très intéressant
Such a wonderful story. While I’m normally not a fantasy reader, this recommendation paid off. The characters were great and the story itself had such meaning behind it. One of the best middle grade novels I’ve read.
