Four women, their husbands and kids is a lot to track for my brain but I managed. What tangled webs we weave. 4.25 stars.

I am officially obsessed with this author’s work. The way she weaves so much into her stories about age, gender, and particularly about motherhood from SO MANY different angles just speaks to me.

Loved the last line but found some parts too detailed and others not detailed enough. I also found it hard to like or relate to some of the characters.

The Whispers, much like The Push by Ashley Audrain is a page turner from the start. Unlike The Push, The Whispers did not quite live up to the hype in my opinion.

The novel is marketed as a thriller but felt more like a drama, filled with many unlikeable characters. I don't think books need to have likeable characters but I found it interesting that Goodreads had this line in the description, "...and what is lost when good people make unconscionable choices," because I can honestly only think of maybe two characters who I would consider to be "good people."

The book seemed to focus more on female relationships, envy, desire, and reflecting on ones life choices.

I don't have that much to say, I found this book a let down after The Push. The best part in my opinion, was the last line of the book, I actually cheered (not because it was the last line, but because of what was said.)
