Something bad happened to Charlie and her friend group when they were very young in their home town. Their friend Michael went missing. Now they are all coming back 10 years later to celebrate his life, but things take a spooky turn when they all decide to sneak into Freddy's Pizza, the place where Michael was seen last.

This book actually surprised me! It didn't feel like a third rate money grab, it felt like an actually well formed book with original characters and an interesting plot. And even better I really don't feel like you need to know the games to enjoy this.
There were times that I found myself getting a little freaked out and my heart was beating. And it was so fun!
While Charlie wasn't the best main character ever, I didn't absolutely detest her. The side characters, especially Carlton and John, were fun and interesting. It was cool to see them go from awkward once-friends to getting more and more comfortable to surviving a traumatic event together. Pretty good writing! Though the ending was a little lack luster.
