A very interesting altered history with a strong female heroine. I especially liked how brave she was to try new ways of using her affinity with water to continue to learn to use her magic.

This was even better than the first book!  It's so fast paced, action packed, filled with more swashbuckling, pirates, spying, and a swoony romance! But what I don't understand is WHY AREN'T THERE MORE BOOKS?!  I need more!

The ending was completely perfect with Rian and Kit, but there just seems like there's so much more story out there with Gerard, plus Kit learning more about her magic!  Is there a petition I can sign somewhere?

Highly recommended for a fast read with magic and a Napoleon-coded bad guy!
