I need more

Loved the book. This is probably now one of my favorite series. The chemistry between Beck and Harlow was hot hot hot. They had you pulling your hair out and at the same time loving then. I didn't want it to end. Can't wait for the next one

Thanks to the author for an ARC in exchange for a review.

I love this series! The first one only wetted my appetite for this one. Beck's book blew Jase's book out of the library!
Sexy, sweet, and totally clueless, Beck makes an awesome book boyfriend. Harlow made my heart clench with her homelessness, and defense mechanisms. Her claim to take it because she dished it was so raw for me. Despite her being a reformed bully she totally owns her life. What she went through was insane. Glad for HEA's. Now I really need West's book. Please! Five stars! Great book by a great author!

The Hotter You Burn is the second book in the Original Heartbreakers series and once again we are transported back to the town of Strawberry Valley, Oklahoma were we see Beck Ockley finally meet the women that will change is life forever. Harlow Glass the one woman that can change Beck if she is willing to try. I absolutely loved this book and getting to see Beck and Harlow find their way. My emotions were all over the place I just felt so much for these characters and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Beck heart throb playboy he no bones about letting you know your only going to get one night and one night ONLY so don't go begging ladies it ain't going to happen.
Harlow is down on her luck the towns praia. Not only that but she was also the towns mean girl threw her high school years.
I get it was nessisary to the book that everyone hated her. But you would think that this many years later someone anyone would have noticed she wasn't the same girl she once was. And then for them to turn around and be just as bad if not worse to her was unthinkable to me.
Beck has his sights on Harlow he wants to save her be with her but doesn't want to break is own rule to only have her for one night.
She wants a lifetime and won't give him till he realizes he wants that took.

This book is seamless from book one you feel like you didn't miss a beat I loved that.

~I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review~

Even though this is the 2nd book in The Original Heartbreakers series, this can be read as a stand-alone.

The Hotter You Burn is written in two different POV’s, Beck’s and Harlow’s. From the very first chapter, I knew that this book was going to be entertaining, and I was right. Along with the serious parts, it also had me laughing.

Harlow is the girl that did stupid stuff in high school, and now the whole town, is holding it over her head, most of them want nothing to do with her. After meeting Beck, she starts to fall for Beck, but know that a relationship with him, will not happen. But, does Beck feel the same way?

Beck, is the new guy in town….he has his own demons, with that he doesn’t have anything more, than one night stands. Of course, he is HOT! And charming, every woman in town wants him, but he claims that he is not a one woman kinda guy.

I recommend this book to anyone that wants a hot, steamy, funny read!

This was pretty fantastic! I felt like I was on an emotional high while reading. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough!

Beck and Harlow are wonderful characters. I really liked the depth of them and getting to know them. She is so genuine and he is so sweet. They have some great verbal sparing going on that creates a lot of sexual tension. Great development as everything is laid out and builds. I felt all Beck and Harlow were going through and was really wrapped up in the story (and had so much compassion for both of them). Some of the details of their pasts were sad, some pretty horrific. It made for some really great intensity. There are lots of ups and downs, conflicts, and I enjoyed it all.

Laced throughout there are bits of humor. I was so thankful for them. With the more emotional content it was definitely needed. I thought it came at the perfect time, it had a really great balance.

Really good characters throughout. More Jase and Brooke Lynn. As well as more West and Jessie Kay too, there story is next in The Harder You Fall (finally!).

I thought this was an excellent story about second chances. Knowing Harlow's past and how much she changed, I really felt for her. I liked both characters so much and they were great throughout. You could really see Beck and Harlow’s breakthroughs even though it took a while to get there.

Excellent read. Very heartfelt. I loved them coming together and truly baring themselves. Beck and Harlow had great chemistry and attraction and a heck of a lot of heat! Totally awesome read.

**Warning- This review has spoilers!

About halfway through this book, tears streaming down my face, I realized something: I didn’t actually like the book I was reading, and crying over. Despite this, I finished the book, staying up a little too late on a work day. I then spent my entire commute into work the next morning trying to pinpoint what bothering me so much about this book. And it did bother me. I had read the novella and the first book of Showalter’s The Original Heartbreakers Series and really liked them. And the first book left me intrigued for Harlow and Beck’s story as well as the third book, West and Jessie Kay’s story. However, The Hotter You Burn left me questioning why I liked the first book and whether it would worth it to read the third. Honestly, I’m a fan of Showalter. I love her Lords of the Underworld Series, her Alien Huntress Series, and even her Atlantis Series, though I read it a while ago. I think that’s why I’m so surprised I didn’t like this book.
