Intrigued by the overall concept. I love how Lexi went off the beaten path, stopped doing everything she was supposed to do following societal narrative, and instead found herself without worrying about what everyone thought. I was never totally pulled in emotion wise. Perhaps greater depth was needed for that. And yet I finished and I do like how the author concluded the story. A bit inspiring to see such love + growth!

Thank you Julianne Hough, Ellen Goodlett, Sourcebooks Landmark, and Netgalley for this free ARC in exchange for a review.
This was a very enjoyable spiritual novel about an awakening, which was filled with distinct characters and healing.

I enjoyed the premise of this recently published book and Ellen Goodlett’s notes:
“As humans, we are hardwired for comparison. We study everyone else, trying to determine how life "should" be or what's "normal." But there is no right way to live. Or rather: there are as many right ways to live as there are people in the world. I hope (main character) Lexi's journey reminds you it's never too late to start over. The most powerful force we possess is change. Use it.”

I was so excited for this book! It sounded so good. The cover is absolutely beautiful!
Everything We Never Knew started out so good. But by 25% I was so bored. I kept reading just because I was so excited for the book. I had such high hopes but really I should have never finished it. I still did not like it by the end.
To be honest, I’m not 100% sure why I didn’t like it. I think I just had such high hopes because the premise of the book sounded like it was going to be so good.
Thanks to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Landmark for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
