I loved this book! Paige was so easy to connect to and my heart has a soft spot for both Warden and Nick. This is such a unique storyline and I’m so excited to continue.

I knew from the beginning that I would love it. Similar to Six of Crows in that the beginning is confusing, but as soon as you get through that part, you're all good. Warden may as well be a new book boyfriend for me. Paige was an independent woman, and I really loved that about her. This book got a lot of praise, making tons of bestsellers lists, and let me tell you, it was well deserved praise. The Romance I was waiting for? I GOT IT. Me: "AHHHHH FINALLY" 5/5 stars, I have to say, best book of the year (so far. This may change)

I think Samantha Shannon is my new favourite author. Although the beginning was a flurry of information and references that I didn’t understand, once I got further into the book everything began to unfold and I found myself being drawn further and further into the world. Paige is a fantastic protagonist, with a really strong voice and intelligence that makes her so compelling. The world is so cool, and deeply thought through. I think the Roots of Chaos series comes out on top still for me, but I now can’t wait to dive into the rest of the Bone Season series! I want more Paige!

The first in a series of seven, did you say? I suppose I have much more to look forward to then, because I especially liked Ms. Shannon's clairvoyant world. The worldbuilding was right up my alley, and I developed a fondness for how in-depth everything became the deeper I went into the novel.

Here's hoping The Mime Order is just as good!
