When I read this, like I did enjoy it. It was a fun read and it reminded me so much of when I was obsessed with youtubers. I just didn't like the conflict a bit, but overall entertaining.

Not my all-time favorite Becky (shoutout to Imogen, you have my entire heart), but still a lovely realistic YA fiction book. And honestly, the bisexuals really are winning, and I’m here for us🫶🏻

Avoid if:
  • You’re uninterested in queer discourse
  • You can’t handle cringe, especially relating to parasocial relationships
  • You don’t want to read about parasocial relationships with Internet personalities

Do you guys think she’s bi???? And do you think she might be Jewish too??

One of the most insufferable books I have ever read. Just exhausting. The Becky albertalli falloff is so crazy.

🌅 Amelia, If Only by Becky Albertalli 🌅

MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amelia is obsessed with YouTuber Walter Holland—and convinced they’d click if they met.
So she plans a road trip with her best friends to his meet-and-greet. But along the way, Amelia starts to wonder: are the butterflies she’s feeling really for Walter… or someone else?

This was so good????? I really enjoyed Imogen, Obviously, but didn’t feel super connected to it. This one - I absolutely loved from page one and it made me want to reread Imogen. This book was so sweet. I loved all of the characters, the story, the commentary on parasocial behaviour, coming of age/finding yourself vibes, everything. The only thing I wish is that there was maybe a bit more romance between our gals and more indication on both sides, and/or more time at the end to see them together. And without any spoilers - I need a book about our two guys 👀. I loved the writing in this, the vibes and feelings, and will definitely reread it in the future. I highly recommend it.

Read this if you like:
  • friends to lovers
  • fast paced
  • road trips

Top Tier Quotes:
  • “Oh, we’re gatekeeping MILFness again?”
  • “Rawdog contains multitudes.”
