Why even bother writing in alternating first-person if every single one of your characters has the exact same voice? Bland, repetitive, boring, insufferably middle-class white lady.

A plague novel, published during a different plague... Other posters have noted the scientific inaccuracies, especially some of the glaring ones non-scientists like me can spot, but that isn't why I rated the book 3☆.
At times, the read was predictable, and I was able to say, "here is what will happen to Katherine," and be right.
If there is a villain besides the Male Plague itself, that character does not receive comeuppance (trying not to include spoilers here), but is in fact rewarded for her selfishness. I guess that is realistic, but not what I'm hoping for when I'm reading about a pandemic in the middle of another pandemic.
Although I enjoyed the book overall, it definitely wasn't as interesting or thought-provoking as I had hoped it would be.
