Great storyline but it was difficult to read especially long paragraphs. I feel Salinger made this narrative more complex than truly necessary. The tiny font didn't help either.
ahhhhhh rereading this book for the first time since high school and love it even more than I did before. The ending just about made me cry. I had so many thoughts reading it but for the most part I was thinking this book is hilarious and real and depressing and a new favorite 5/5

it was kinda funny to read, despite the heavy topics and hard events holden went through. i found it a bit slow in some parts, but i understand that it was done for a reason. there's a lot of elements that make you realize how period typical the book is, which is refreshing on one hand and lousy (🤪) on the other. i appreciated this book more than i thought i would initially :)

This book killed me, it really did. I thought it's going to be some phony book but old Holden Caulfield is a helluva guy. It goddamn depressed me, it really did.
