Read this in one sitting. Even though the writing was not superb, the character development was abysmal, and it was too much like acotar…I very much enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down. On to the next one! Booktok has absolutely ruined my taste in books!!!

What is there to say other than every raving review I heard about this book was true.
To the people who said “just get through book one,” ya’ll lied. This books is beautiful.
The twists weren’t extremely twisty, there was no steam/spice (which was fine with me), and there was not nearly as much fighting as I thought there would be, but it was so well balanced I find myself wishing I could read this book for the first time again and again.
If you’re here for the world, character, and relationship building, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re ready for your FMC to be a badass without needing a man to save her, you’re in the right place. Celeana was an assassin before we met her, and she didn’t need a guard, king, or prince to turn her into one.
I cannot WAIT for book two. I’ll be starting it as soon as I finish this review
